Dak corporate design

Despite having 70 centres in The Hague, DAK child care was still relatively unknown. Studio Ninaber was asked to make the organisation recognisable. Workshops with employees and interviews with external parties were held, which led to the required identity: day-care centres where children can develop.

The name Dak kinderopvang (child care), which has a rather negative connotation in Dutch, was subtly changed to Dak kindercentra (children’s centres) and a new house-style was implemented. Corporate communications are deliberately impactful but also restrained in their design. Evolving photography allows marketing communications to move with the times while retaining the basic elements.
